I’m proud to announce a new project: a coloring book! Me and 45 other artists are working hard to create a sci-fi and/or fantasy themed coloring book for adults. You can expect a book that is 8.5″x11″ in black and white, and ready for you to color! Myself and a swath of other artists and writers have collaborated to create an LGBTQ vampire zine called Blood & Breath. I’m really excited for this zine, not only for my work in it, but also because I’ve seen some (but not all, yet) of the other works and they are really, really good.Continue reading Love vampires? I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about the Australian bushfires, including seeing devastating images show up on social media. I have just started a Kickstarter (Live TODAY) to attempt to create my very first ever soft enamel pins. I’ve always wanted to make something like this, and finally decided and came up with a design that could easily be converted into an enamel pin!
In the original Blade Runner, Gaff folds up tiny origami animals. By the end of the film, he leaves a tiny origami unicorn in front of Deckard’s front door, implying the he knew about Deckard’s dreams of a unicorn, leaving years and years of debate in the fandom over whether or not Deckard himself is a replicant.
When K visits Gaff in Blade Runner 2049, Gaff folds up an origami sheep, which is a reference to the title of the book the Blade Runner universe is based upon – Philip K. Dick’s “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”
Since the origami unicorn has been produced by many others, I would like to produce the first origami sheep lapel pin! But don’t worry… The origami unicorn is a stretch goal. 🙂
