Posted this artwork in a subreddit only to be told by the mod and one other person there that it was *not* the character in question. This is a fandom with no official visual representation (I am sure the book fans are upset about the TV representation nowadays) who scarcely gets fanart because of its age, mainly. The gatekeeping mod didn't seem to understand what I was going for or why I did it; this appears to be an individual who has a poor grasp of conceptualization in art, or at the very least is attempting to test my knowledge on the subject matter.

Frankly it's sad. You would think a fandom like this one would be voracious when it comes to new fanart, but because of this I likely won't ever post there again - fanart or not. What a sour, uncouth welcome to the fandom -- after such an amazing reception to the same fandom on Tumblr.

Either way... Tell me what you see here. A man? A machine? A god? Or all of the above?
